This page explains what Anthro collects from you, why, how long it stays, and how to have it deleted. It is written in plain language on purpose: a policy nobody reads is not a policy.
The rule first
We collect nothing from you except what you type into a form on this site. We do not sell your data, do not share it for marketing, and do not build a profile of you.
What this site does not do
- No trackers, no analytics. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no heatmaps, no third party watching you browse.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No reader accounts. No sign-up, no passwords.
What we collect — and you are the one who gives it
Contact form
When you send a message we store your name, your email, the section you chose, and the text of your message. It is kept on the site for the editorial team and a copy is emailed to the relevant desk. We use it only to reply to you.
Newsletter
When you subscribe we store your email, the date, and the page you subscribed from. We do not ask for your name. You can ask to be removed at any time.
Comments
When you comment, WordPress stores the name and email you enter, your IP address, and your browser type — this is standard WordPress behaviour, intended to catch spam. Comments may be passed to a spam-filtering service if one is enabled.
If you comment, your browser may offer to save your name and email in a cookie for convenience next time. That choice is yours, and nothing is stored if you decline.
Flood protection
To stop automated mass submissions, the site keeps a hashed fingerprint of your connection — not the address itself — together with an attempt counter. It is erased automatically after one hour and is never linked to your name or your message.
Embedded content from other sites
Some articles may include video or audio embedded from other platforms. When you open a page containing embedded content, that platform treats you as if you had visited it directly and applies its own policy. We do not control what it collects.
How long your data stays
- Contact messages: as long as the correspondence is live; deleted on request.
- Newsletter subscription: until you ask to be removed.
- Comments: as long as the article is published; deleted on request.
- Flood-protection fingerprint: one hour.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted entirely. Write to us from the Contact page or to the address published there, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Deleting your message or comment leaves no trace with us, except in a backup until that backup is itself replaced.
Data security
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to messages and the subscriber list is limited to the editorial team.
Updates to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we update this page. The last-modified date shown below is the one to rely on.
