These terms govern the use of the Anthro website. By using the site you agree to them.
Content and its licence
Anthro’s editorial material is available under the Creative Commons Attribution–NoDerivatives 4.0 licence (CC BY-ND 4.0). You may republish it free of charge, on your own site or in print, without prior permission — under these four conditions:
- Publish the text as it is, with no change of meaning and no cuts that take words out of context.
- Credit the piece to its author and to Anthro, with a working link to the original.
- Do not place the material behind a paywall.
- Images and illustrations are not covered by this licence — each carries separate rights to be cleared with its owner.
A ready-to-copy attribution line sits in the “Republish this article” box below every piece.
The licence does not cover the Anthro name, logo or visual identity. These are reserved marks and may not be used in a way that implies an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.
Translation and derivative works
“NoDerivatives” means translation, abridgement and paraphrase require written permission. Write to us from the Contact page; we rarely object, but we like to know.
Short quotation
Limited quotation for criticism, comment or research needs no permission, as long as the source is cited.
Comments and reader contributions
What you write in the comments remains your view, not Anthro’s. We reserve the right not to publish, or to remove, anything abusive, defamatory, commercial or unlawful. By posting a comment you grant us permission to display it on the site.
Accuracy
Our material is editorial and research-based. It is carefully reviewed but is not offered as professional advice, and we may correct or update a piece after publication.
If you find an error, tell us — correction is part of the work, not an apology for it.
External links
We sometimes link to sites we do not run, and we are not responsible for their content or their policies.
Privacy
How your data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
